As you might already know, there have been some big changes lately in the search industry, one of these being the final shutdown of Yahoo Site Explorer service. Several of our tools here at Scriptalicious have been affected by these changes, and since these changes took place we have been working actively on several updates for our scripts.

In addition to Yahoo closing down their Site Explorer service, we have also seen a change in Google's handling of their PageRank, and even Alexa is now starting to block many requests that have affected tools fetching Alexa data.

What does this mean for our tools? Well, we now have one update available for our Backlink Rank Checker that fixes the Alexa problems and switches our backlink source over to Google.

Currently, fixes are underway for several other scripts, and you should expect updates just after the new year for SEO Scripts, AJAX Rank Checker and Website Rank Checker scripts.

This has been an exceptionally busy few months here with all of these changes, and we appreciate the support and patience of everyone as we work on finding alternatives and getting updates ready for our tools.

Although we currently have updates planned for all affected tools, we welcome any and all suggestions or recommendations for alternatives to backlink data that used to be provided by Yahoo. While there are quite a few paid services out there offering such information, we are of course very reluctant to require any kind of paid service to use our tools, and have no intention of having such requirements.
