You have an SEO Scripts powered website. You've covered all the basics. But now you want to really optimize your site for the best performance in search engines and to bring as many visitors as you can. What's the next step? This article breaks down ten of the best things you can do to improve your SEO Scripts powered website.

#1: Customize SEO Tool Names

One of the easiest changes to make is customizing the names of all your tools. By setting custom tool names in the Admin CP you are giving each and every one of your SEO tools a unique page title, and improving the on-page content and keyword targetting for whatever keywords you are focusing on.

Customizing tool names is a cinch with the SEO Scripts Admin CP. Just visit SEO Scripts > Edit Tools and select the tool to modify. You can change the tool title (used in full browser title), the tool name (used in menus) and the safe name (used for URLs). It is strongly recommended you customize all three of these fields for the best SEO results.

If you don't want to spend hours editing your tools, try our custom content service for SEO Scripts. Custom tool names, tool titles and custom URLs are all part of our custom content services.

#2: Customize SEO Tool Content

Probably the single best thing you can do for your SEO Scripts website is to customize the content for all of your SEO tools. This is a time-consuming but extremely important step to getting your SEO tools ranking well in search engines.

By writing custom content for all of your tools, you're giving search engines something fresh to index, and making your site truly stand out. Additionally, you can really give your site a personality and target keywords or keyphrases both on and off-site to your liking. Inter-link between different tools on your site, link to useful and valuable articles off-site and give your visitors as much useful information as possible.

Like tool names & titles, customizing page contents is easy with the SEO Scripts Admin CP. Just visit SEO Scripts > Edit Tools and select the SEO tool to edit. You can edit the description, which is the main content body for the tool. This field accepts HTML so you can really customize it however you like.

Tip: If you really want to customize the tools to the fullest, you can edit/tweak the instructions on each page as well. Just add additional instructions on the same screen - one per line!

#3: Customize your theme

Customizing your theme takes some knowledge of HTML/CSS but is one of the best ways to give your site a personality and really stand out.

There are some tips on editing the default layout and adding your banner ads in the SEO Scripts User Manual.

If you're ready to dig in and edit your theme, locate the theme in your installation's /tpl/ folder. Try tweaking the fonts, background image, header styles, and anything else to give your site a unique look and feel.

#4: Add new content pages

One of the great features of SEO Scripts is the powerful CMS and WYSIWYG page editor.

The built-in CMS gives you the chance to quickly add all kinds of custom content to your site. By adding new custom pages, you can provide tutorials on using the tools, articles on SEO or share articles & blog posts from your other websites.

Adding custom pages will give search engines fresh new content to index and give your visitors valuable information and insight into using your tools!

Full details on using the SEO Scripts CMS can be found in the user manual.

#5: Create new tool collections using the CMS

In addition to adding articles and tutorials as described in #4, you can also use the CMS to create a page of tool collections. Set up a new page in the CMS, and link to a select number of SEO tools within a certain topic.

For example, "10 SEO Tools for Link Building" would be a great headline for a page to collect all the tools you recommend for link building.

Full details on using the SEO Scripts CMS can be found in the user manual.

#6: Add Facebook Like buttons and Google +1 buttons

By default, SEO Scripts doesn't have Facebook Like or Google +1 buttons added. This is a great opportunity to make your SEO Scripts website stand out, and give your visitors a chance to share your great SEO tools with all of their friends.

Templates can easily be edited in SEO Scripts so you can add your Facebook and Google +1 code. More information on editing theme files can be found in the user manual.

#7: Create a unique Facebook and Twitter account for your tools

Have you set up a Facebook page or Google+ page for your website? If not, maybe it's time to!

By creating a custom Facebook page and Twitter account specifically for your SEO tools website, you're giving all your users an opportunity to spread the word and get engaged in questions or comments regarding your tools.

You can use your Facebook and Twitter pages to post changes on your site, share a featured tool each day, or implement your own ideas for spreading the word.

#8: Integrate SEO Scripts with your Wordpress blog

If you are running a Wordpress site, there are a couple ways to integrate SEO Scripts fully with your Wordpress blog.

Scriptalicious can provide Wordpress Integration service for a full, professional job that matches up your SEO tools with your Wordpress theme perfectly.

You can also tackle Wordpress integration yourself (although it does require some knowledge of PHP/HTML/CSS). Check out our comprehensive Wordpress Integration for SEO Scripts guide to get started.

#9: Create custom tool categories

SEO Scripts comes with some pre-defined categories by default, but you are by no means restricted to these categories.

You can use the category manager in SEO Scripts Admin CP to create, edit and organize all of your tool categories. By moving your tools around and optimizing your categories to suit your visitors, this is a great (and easy) way to make your site stand out to visitors and search engine bots!

#10: Create custom tool icons

The final tip is one of the more time-consuming, but if you're serious about making your website stand out, you can easily replace all of the existing icons in SEO Scripts with your own custom icons.

There are 77 distinct tools in SEO Scripts Pro, so you have your work cut out for you. But you can also find many free icons on the Web with some Googling.

All of the icons used in SEO Scripts are located in the template folder, under the images/ico/ folder. You can replace these images in your default theme, or create a new custom theme of your own.
