How do Scriptalicious version numbers work?Posted 2011-04-24 in FAQs
Generally speaking, we assign version numbers to scripts in the format MajorVersion.MinorVersion.
For example, if our first version is "Gizmo Script 1.0", there will
probably be minor updates such as 1.1, 1.2, 1.3b1, and so on. Notice the
"1.3b1"? Sometimes we'll release a small "patch" update such as 1.3b2,
1.4p1, etc. The final number represents the "patch level", or the number
of patches released for the current minor version.
The major version number (the first number) only changes when there is a very big update, script rewrite, or an important stage has been reached in a script's lifecycle. |
