What is search engine caching?

When search engines crawl your website, they make a record of all URLs on your website and add them to their index. In addition, they will often copy the contents of your page to a cache in their index. The cached version of a web page is a copy of your site's contents stored on the search engine server, and is used for analyzing your site and producing search results.
